I really like the idea of blogs. I can definitely see using this with my students to respond to a question that I present in class or on the blog and to ask questions and receive answers from their peers. Creating the blog was very easy. I just had to get used to what each choice would allow me to do. I created this before reading in the directions that is not recommended to use your name, so my name is part of the posting name and the address. I named the blog with the class # and 23 Things. I just related it to the lesson. I chose this layout because I like cool colors, and it includes my favorite color.
The avatar was easy and fun to make. The only trouble I had was with setting up my account and receiving the e-mail from the site. I like the idea of using an image rather than an actual picture for privacy reasons. I chose an avatar that looked as closely like me as possible and wearing my favorite color (blue) ;).

I really like using blogs and can see their valuable use in the classroom. I would also ask questions and allow the students to comment in the blog. What a great way to help students become better writers and thinkers. Who knows, one day they may write a book. I am glad I learned about creating blogs and will use them in my personal and professional life.
